• The biggest and fastest growing software center of FPT Software is looking for talented candidate who are experienced, smart & technically savvy, love challenge, and want to have fun to join our globalized workforce in the position of JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER.

  As successful candidates, you will take part in multi-million project for America’s leading providers of digital television entertainment services headquartered in El Segundo, California which delivers a premium video experience through state-of-the-art technology, unmatched programming, and provides industry leading customer service to more than 50 million customers in the U.S. and Latin America. You will join one of international teams to provide professional IT Services, develop enterprise eco-system and large-scale application with many onsite trip to US.

  What you are expected to perform
  – Manage a team of software engineers that architects and designs enterprise software products.
  – Write product requirement documents in high level, provide estimation, implement and track timeline development, and negotiate feature sets with the development leads and product teams from customer.
  – Be responsible for the quality of the software produced by the team and ensure that all
  Programming work carried out by the team meets customer’s requirements.
  – Work for large project of high-profile Corporation in US. Get involve in professional environment with latest technologies such as: Big data, Cloud computing, Mobility, spring and Hibernate framework…
  – Communicate with customer’s development team in US via email, daily call, video
  Conference… clarifies requirement, framework, project meeting….
  – Frequent opportunities to join training/working on-site in Los Angeles, US.

  What we are looking for in qualified candidate
  Must have:
  – Experience as project leader or project manager with ability to manage at least 5 project members.
  – Have experience on Estimation methodology.
  – Understand software development process CMMi or Agile.
  – Excellent in English communication, able to communicate directly and fluently with US Customer via conference calls, Skype, and emails.
  – At least 5 year experience in programming in J2EE technologies (preferably 7 years)
  – Have very strong OOAD knowledge, Java core, design patterns.
  – Experience with Web Service (SOAP and RESTful), build tools (Ant, Maven), load testing.
  – Outstanding experience with Spring, Hibernate, Database (SQL, Oracle).
  – Profiling tools.
  – Willing to go onsite (US) when requested.

  Nice to have:
  – Basic UNIX (or keen to learn basic UNIX in some hours)
  – Unit test using JUnit, JMock
  – Experience with JBoss 4.2.2, JMS, caching, continuous integration – CI
